We sometimes pre-authorise a payment on your chosen card before you create a plan. This holds the payment amount temporarily. Then, once the plan is created, this pre-authorisation is converted into an actual charge which counts towards your initial payment.
If the purchase is not completed, the pre-authorisation might not be removed straight away (this depends on your bank). These held funds are usually returned to your card within a few days!
If you’d like to have the held funds returned sooner, please contact your bank and request 1) a Pre-Authorisation Reference Number associated with the transaction, and 2) your bank's relevant email address. Then get in touch with us and we’ll be able to contact your bank to request the release of funds.
